The Wicker Park Years
For a few years I called Wicker Park home, and Chicago became my classroom. I was drawn to its gritty streets, its striking architecture, and the restless life that spills onto every sidewalk: the rumble of the L overhead, steam rising off the pavement in winter, the lake light sliding down the glass towers at dusk.
These photographs come from those years of wandering block by block with a camera. I’ve since moved out west, but I still miss the city’s urban flavor and raw energy, and the way Chicago never stopped giving me something to shoot.
